Pan-African Vocabulary on the Metalanguage of Terminology

The Translation Bureau is proud to present the Pan-African Vocabulary on the Metalanguage of Terminology, the latest addition to the Pan-African Glossary series the Translation Bureau launched a few years ago.

This Vocabulary, the first multilingual reference work and dedicated entirely to terminological metalanguage, will prove to be an invaluable reference tool for the terminology as a discipline, specifically in Africa. It contains 78 entries organized alphabetically and provides definitions in each of the following languages: French (bridge language), Fulfulde, Lingala, Mandingo, Swahili and English (reference language). It was developed by the Translation Bureau, with the financial support of the International Organisation of La Francophonie and in cooperation with the national teams from the five partner countries of the program called Coopération technolinguistique - Afrique (Programme CTA) : développement des langues africaines et créoles.
